She regularly practiced Hungarian in order to improve her language proficiency. Bruckner was an actress from California in Hollywood, born to Hungarian parents as well as Russian mothers who had separated. Her paternal grandmother was German. Her parents are Hungary-born parents, who met in Hungary. Her family emigrated into the U.S.A. via Italian refugee camps in 1984. The siblings of her are three sisters and a brother.
